ExceL rebrands for the 2019 LEC season

Excel Esports Unveils New Logo for 2019 Season

Excel Esports, a new team in the franchised European League of Legends esports league, has revealed its rebrand for the upcoming season.

The team’s previous logo featured a mix of different-colored shapes, forming an “X” behind a yellow “L”. In contrast, the new logo resembles a computer mouse pointer.

The new logo is even more amusing considering the connection to Microsoft Excel, a popular software application. The resemblance to a mouse pointer reinforces the meme within the League community.

Excitingly, Excel Esports will be competing in the LEC, the new name for the EU LCS. Although the 2019 LEC schedule has yet to be announced by Riot Games.

The Excel Esports roster includes top laner Ki “Expect” Dae-han, jungler Marc “Caedrel” Lamont, mid laner Fabian “Exileh” Schubert, ADC Jesper “Jeskla” Stromberg, and support Raymong “kaSing” Tsang. The team has also added five other players who will compete for spots in both the starting and Academy lineups.
