Excel Esports reportedly welcomes Norskeren to their team

Splyce Support Player Norskeren Set to Join Excel Esports

After a top eight finish at the 2019 League of Legends World Championship, Splyce’s roster will undergo changes for the 2020 season.

According to an ESPN report, support player Tore “Norskeren” Hoel Eilertsen is expected to join Excel Esports. The deal is currently being finalized and cannot be completed until the start of free agency on Nov. 18.

Shortly after Splyce’s loss to SK Telecom T1 in the Worlds quarterfinals, the team’s strategic coach Hadrien “Duke” Forestier expressed his intentions to explore other opportunities for the following year.

Prior to joining Splyce last December, Norskeren played for ROCCAT and FC Schalke 04. The Norwegian support player, who will soon turn 20, has been competing in Europe since 2016.

Norskeren will join an Excel Esports team that has already undergone significant changes during the offseason. The team recently hired former Fnatic coach Joey “YoungBuck” Steltenpool, while releasing head coach David “DLim” Lim and strategic coach Alex “Bonquish” Warren.
