EVOS defeat SuperMassive to qualify for MSI’s group stage

EVOS Esports qualifies for Mid-Season Invitational main event after beating BAU SuperMassive Esports 3-1.

EVOS Esports, a strong team in emerging regions, has secured a spot in the Mid-Season Invitational main event. SuperMassive, representing Turkey in international events, was expected to advance but was defeated by Vietnam’s GIGABYTE Marines.

GIGABYTE Marines, led by star jungler Đỗ “Levi” Duy Khánh, dominated the competition and narrowly missed beating TSM. They faced SuperMassive to decide the final team for the main event, winning with a 3-1 score.

A year later, EVOS once again shattered SuperMassive’s hopes at MSI.

Similar to GIGABYTE Marines, EVOS relied on their jungler Nguyễn “YiJin” Lê Hải Đăng and their ability to create fights across the map. SuperMassive tried to match their aggression but fell behind, except for their game two victory.

YiJin played Graves and used his early aggression to build a lead. He became a deadly force for EVOS, shredding SuperMassive with his Black Cleaver. When YiJin died, his teammates Warzone and Slay stepped up and finished off the remaining players.

With EVOS qualifying, Flash Wolves and Gambit Esports will battle on May 9 to determine the last team to advance to the group stage of MSI.
