Evil Geniuses’ Superior Draft and Gameplay Overwhelm FlyQuest, Advancing Further in LCS 2022 Spring Playoffs Lower Bracket

Evil Geniuses Continue Their Dominance in the 2022 LCS Spring Split

Evil Geniuses are one step closer to achieving their goal of winning the 2022 LCS Spring Split after a convincing 3-1 series win against fifth-seed FlyQuest.

The young squad outplayed FlyQuest in most of the games, with the exception of the second game. Despite being a close match, game two became the longest game of the season, lasting 51 minutes. Click here to watch highlights from the game.

In the second game, FlyQuest initially built up a 9.7k gold lead at the 35-minute mark. However, ill-advised engages from Josedeodo and Aphromoo allowed Evil Geniuses to claw their way back. Although FlyQuest’s top laner Kumo secured a last-second win for FlyQuest through a backdoor maneuver, it would be their only victory of the day.

In the following games, Evil Geniuses strategically drafted ideal team compositions to counter FlyQuest’s simple game plan. By utilizing crowd control, zoning, and peel abilities, EG effectively protected their carries and prevented FlyQuest from attacking vulnerable targets.

Danny, the rising AD carry for Evil Geniuses, stood out with impressive performances on champions like Xayah, Jinx, and Zeri. With 19 kills, 28 assists, and only four deaths, the 18-year-old earned the well-deserved Player of the Series award.

Evil Geniuses will now prepare for their upcoming match against Cloud9, which will take place on Sunday, April 17. Stay tuned for their next move!
