Evil Geniuses recruits Jiizuke as starting mid laner for LCS team in 2020

Daniele “Jiizuke” di Mauro Joins Evil Geniuses as Starting Mid Laner

Evil Geniuses has officially announced that former Vitality mid laner Daniele “Jiizuke” di Mauro will be joining their roster for the 2020 season of League of Legends. This completes the lineup, which already includes Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen, Colin “Kumo” Zhao, Bae “Bang” Jun-sik, and Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam. Evil Geniuses is now ready to make their debut in the upcoming LCS this spring.

A Fresh Start for Jiizuke

During his time with Vitality, Jiizuke had a disappointing performance. The team finished fifth in the 2019 LEC Spring Split and sixth in the summer. Jiizuke himself had the highest number of deaths among mid laners in the league and the worst KDA. However, with Evil Geniuses, he has the opportunity for a fresh start alongside some of the region’s best players. Svenskeren, in particular, has shown great improvement and has become one of the top junglers in the LCS. The combination of a strong jungle-mid duo can be highly effective, making Jiizuke and Svenskeren a promising duo to watch in the region.

Adapting to NA

One question that remains is how Jiizuke will adapt to the North American style of life and its approach to solo queue and practice. Will he be able to fit in well with his new teammates and establish synergy, or will the differences between Europe and North America be too challenging? Fans will have the opportunity to find out when the 2020 LCS Spring Split kicks off next year.
