EDG Coach, Aaron, Discusses Team’s Sluggish Start and Assurance to EDG Fans

China’s EDward Gaming Advances in LoL World Championship

China’s performance in the League of Legends World Championship hasn’t been as successful as expected. However, EDward Gaming has advanced to the later rounds of the tournament, giving hope to the Chinese esports community.

EDward Gaming’s 4-2 record in the group stage was not what fans had hoped for, with two losses against SK Telecom T1. Despite this, their performance was enough to qualify for the next stage of the championship.

Coach Ji Not Worried about Team’s Performance

EDward Gaming’s coach, Ji “Aaron” Xing, remains confident in his team’s abilities. He referenced their performance at the Midseason Invitational, where they started slow but improved as the tournament progressed.

Team Faces Obstacles in Later Rounds

Although EDward Gaming has advanced, they still face obstacles in the later rounds. Their top laner, Shek “AmazingJ” Wai-ho, has proven to be a challenge due to an injury. Additionally, the team’s overall condition has not been ideal.

Western Teams Outperform Expectations

Western teams, such as Origen and Cloud9, have surprised audiences with their performance in the championship. Their understanding of the meta and strategies, like double teleport and lane swaps, has given them an advantage over Asian teams. Ji acknowledges this advantage but believes that Asian teams will catch up.

EDward Gaming will continue to prepare for their upcoming matches, with the possibility of a rematch against SK Telecom T1. Coach Ji remains confident in his team’s abilities and believes they will find their own style and strategy to succeed in the championship.
