Echo Fox signs former Cloud9 jungler Rush and welcomes Fenix back

Echo Fox Acquires Former Cloud9 Jungler Rush for its League of Legends Roster

The 2018 end-year offseason is coming to a close, with teams finalizing their rosters for the upcoming season. In a surprising move, Echo Fox has announced the acquisition of Lee “Rush” Yoon-jae, former Cloud9 and KT Rolster jungler, for its starting lineup in League of Legends. This announcement was made on Twitter today.

Joining the Team: Fenix Returns

Another addition to Echo Fox’s 2019 NA LCS roster is Kim “Fenix” Jae-hun, who previously played for the team during the 2018 Spring Split and part of the summer. Fenix was replaced by Tanner Damonte in July, who is now a member of Clutch Gaming.

Echo Fox Welcomes Rush and Fenix

Echo Fox expressed their excitement on Twitter about the addition of Rush and the return of Fenix to the League of Legends scene. The team can’t wait to see them in action starting January 26th. However, their inclusion in the roster is still pending Riot approval.

This move has thrilled fans who have been eagerly awaiting Rush’s return to the NA LCS since he left Cloud9 in 2016. However, it also raises questions about the future of Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett, the team’s former starting jungler in 2018, who has not yet announced his new team.

When Echo Fox acquired Hakuho, Apollo Price, and Colin “Solo” Earnest from Clutch, there were reports of the team exploring trade options for Dardoch. However, there are no official announcements from the team or any other sources about Dardoch’s future.

It would be surprising if Dardoch did not find a spot in a team for the upcoming season. He has established himself as one of Echo Fox’s top players, a reliable jungler, and a great teammate, unlike previous years.

The NA LCS season kicks off this January.
