Team Liquid Suffers Third Loss in 2019 LCS Spring Split
In a thrilling match against Echo Fox, Team Liquid experienced their third defeat of the 2019 LCS Spring Split. Echo Fox, on the other hand, secured their third consecutive victory with jungler Lee “Rush” Yoon-jae back in action.
A Close Early Game
During the early game, both teams fought for map control, resulting in a closely contested battle. At the 14-minute mark, Team Liquid attempted an engage in the bottom lane. However, Echo Fox turned the fight around, securing two kills compared to Liquid’s one.
Xmithie’s Struggles
Team Liquid faced a significant problem in their veteran jungler, Jake “Xmithie” Puchero, who had one of his worst performances of the season. He was responsible for six out of the team’s 11 deaths and was caught out multiple times, leading to the loss of objectives.
Echo Fox’s Improvement
Echo Fox displayed significant improvement in their shotcalling and macro play. They successfully secured almost every dragon, with the exception of two Cloud Drakes, and even obtained a Baron at the 20-minute mark. Their patience in executing plays was also noteworthy, which is a positive development for the team this split. Echo Fox’s top laner, Colin “Solo” Earnest, made a substantial impact with his Aatrox pick, securing five kills for the team.
Looking Ahead
The majority of Team Liquid fans are not overly concerned, as they believe the team is experimenting with different compositions and not performing at their full potential. With first place already secured, the playoffs starting on Saturday, April 13 in St. Louis will likely reveal Team Liquid’s true form.
