Echo Fox deserves praise for their unwavering dedication to their players.

Echo Fox’s First LCS Season Proves to Be a Tough Challenge

Echo Fox, a team funded and owned by former NBA player Rick Fox, had a difficult first season in the LCS. They managed to secure the last spot in next year’s LCS season, but it was a long and challenging journey for them.

Finding Their Place in the LCS Roster

When Rick Fox acquired Gravity’s spot in the LCS, other teams already had well-established rosters. This meant that Echo Fox had to build their team with unproven talents, with the exception of Froggen, one of Europe’s most experienced players. The roster consisted of players with only 14 LCS games between them.

After achieving seventh place in the Spring season, Echo Fox aimed to continue their growth by earning a place in the Summer Split playoffs. However, the competition in the LCS became more intense, and Echo Fox struggled, ending the summer regular season with a disappointing 1-17 record. They had to fight hard to secure their spot in the LCS for another season, but luckily, they managed to beat NRG Esports 3-0.

Commitment to the Roster

Traditional sports often focus on immediate results, with pressure on managers to make quick changes. However, Echo Fox’s first year in the LCS showed a different approach. Despite the lack of success, Echo Fox remained committed to their roster and did not make any major changes during the offseason. This allowed the team to develop and grow together.

We often hear about teams mistreating players, but Echo Fox has shown a different approach. They have treated their players well and have been dedicated to developing a young roster. Rick Fox understands the sacrifices these players have made to compete in the LCS.

Earning Respect Through Commitment

Several of the players are young, with many of them balancing school with their esports careers.

Despite the lack of success and any future roster changes, Echo Fox’s commitment to their players has earned them respect. The team has also extended their support to other talented individuals in the esports industry. Froggen, in particular, has expressed his loyalty to Echo Fox prior to their victory over NRG.

Echo Fox’s commitment sets an example for other teams in esports. They have earned the respect of fans all over the world, and their dedication has paid off in terms of sponsorships and investments in other games as well.
