The 2021 Mid-Season Invitational Schedule
The schedule for the 2021 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational is out now. You can check out the full schedule here. The tournament will begin with an exciting matchup – DWG KIA vs. Cloud9.
On May 6, DWG KIA and Cloud9 will compete in the opening game of the tournament. This game will also mark the ninth meeting between Perkz and ShowMaker. In their previous encounters, they both won four games each, but those matches took place when Perkz was playing as ADC for G2 Esports. Now, with Cloud9, Perkz will have a chance to go head-to-head with ShowMaker, two of the best mid laners in the world.
In the initial group stage, C9 and DWG KIA are the only major region teams facing each other since MAD Lions and Royal Never Give Up are placed in groups with teams from minor regions. MAD Lions will face PSG Talon from the PCS, and Royal Never Give Up will take on Oceania’s Pentanet GG.
The MSI group stage will conclude on May 11, followed by the “Rumble Stage.” The top six teams from the tournament will compete in the Rumble Stage starting on May 14.
MSI 2021 will begin at 8am CT on May 6, with all games being broadcasted live from Reykjavík, Iceland.
