League of Legends Worlds 2022: DRX Secures Spot in Grand Finals
DRX, the underdog squad from the LCK, has finally secured a spot in the grand finals of the 2022 League of Legends World Championship. This comes after their incredible series against Gen.G. While many fans are excited about this outcome, there are eight individuals who are disappointed with DRX’s victory.
Unfortunately, all remaining perfect Pick’Ems of the tournament predicted that Gen.G would make it to the finals. This means that no one will win the massive prize of every ultimate skin.
Only eight people successfully predicted that T1, JD Gaming, DRX, and Gen.G would make up the final four teams of the tournament. However, the throne now stands vacant atop the Pick’Ems kingdom.
It was challenging to place bets against Gen.G, as they appeared to be one of the best teams in the world after winning the 2022 LCK Summer Split. They had a powerhouse roster with legendary jungler Peanut, veteran star Ruler, and mid lane phenom Chovy.
Furthermore, DRX had not been able to defeat Gen.G throughout the year. However, DRX’s magical Worlds run has defied expectations. They will now face off against T1, creating a battle between one of the most storied organizations in League history and the unexpected Cinderella story.
Like Gen.G, DRX has yet to win a single match against T1 this year. However, this Worlds tournament has shown that anything is possible, and magic can happen at any moment.
Now, fans face a tough decision for their final Pick’Ems. Will they support the greatest player of all time, Faker, and hope that he lifts his fourth Summoner’s Cup? Or will they rally behind the underdogs when the finals take place next week on Saturday, Nov. 5?
