DRX Defeats KT Rolster 2-0 in 2022 LCK Spring Split

In the highly anticipated match of the week seven in the 2022 LCK Spring Split, DRX emerged victorious with a 2-0 win against KT Rolster. This victory solidifies DRX’s position in fourth place as they set their sights on overtaking DWG KIA in the coming weeks.

KT Rolster Struggles as DRX Rises

Leading up to this League of Legends series, KT Rolster and DRX were on different paths in terms of growth throughout the split. KT Rolster started strong, even securing an upset victory over Gen.G earlier in the split. However, they have since fallen out of the playoff picture, currently on a four-series losing streak.

On the other hand, DRX had a slow start but have gained momentum and improved their form. They have risen from an initial 0-3 start to become a serious contender in the 2022 LCK Spring Split playoffs.

Game Recap: DRX Shows Dominance

In game one, KT Rolster initially held a slight 4,000 gold lead over DRX. However, DRX managed to turn the tides at the 30-minute mark with a Baron steal and multiple tower kills. Although KT Rolster regained the gold advantage momentarily, they couldn’t withstand DRX’s powerful teamfight capabilities. DRX’s Zeka on Akali and Deft on Jinx played crucial roles in securing the victory for DRX.

In game two, DRX continued their dominance. Zeka’s Akali was particularly outstanding in the early game, dealing a total of 19,800 damage. KT Rolster struggled to keep up, leading to DRX’s swift victory in just 28 minutes.

Looking Ahead: The Battle for Seeding

With this win, DRX improves to an 8-5 record in the 2022 LCK Spring Split. Their next opponent is Liiv SANDBOX, and a victory would bring them on par with DWG KIA’s 9-5 record. The final week of the split, scheduled for March 17, promises an intense battle for seeding against DWG KIA.
