Dreams Do Come True: BeryL’s Sneaky Honkai Inclusion in His Worlds 2022 Champion Skin

The DRX Roster Reveals Custom Skin Line After Winning 2022 League of Legends World’s Championship

After their victory at the 2022 League of Legends World’s Championship, the DRX roster has been working hard to create their own custom skin line. Recently, on Tuesday, May 16, the team revealed their new skins. Fans were quick to notice that BeryL, the team’s gacha-loving support, received his dream skin once again.

BeryL’s Love for Gacha Games Shines in His Ashe Skin

BeryL is widely known for his love of gacha games. In fact, he spent $7,000 USD on Genshin Impact using some of the money he won from the 2022 World Championship.

An Ashe Skin Inspired by Honkai Impact 3rd’s Elysia

What many fans may not know is that BeryL’s upcoming Ashe skin is heavily inspired by the character Elysia from Honkai Impact 3rd. The skin perfectly captures Elysia’s style and color palette, and fans are loving it. Some have even expressed excitement to download League of Legends again just to get their hands on this skin when it becomes available.

BeryL’s Second Time Bringing in a Favorite Gacha Game Character

This is not the first time BeryL has brought one of his favorite gacha game characters into League of Legends. When he won Worlds with Damwon Gaming in 2020, his Leona skin was inspired by Saren, a character from the mobile gacha game Princess Connect! Re: Dive.

While some fans may be upset that Ashe was chosen as the support to receive a skin, most love it. If DRX were to win this year’s Worlds, we might see another skin based on a fan-favorite gacha character.
