However, Team Liquid CEO Steve Arhancet confirmed that Doublelift will still travel with the team and play in this Sunday’s NA LCS final in Miami.

The sudden and tragic news came as a surprise to the League community. Doublelift himself confirmed the incident through a TwitLonger post on his verified account, prompting thousands of fans to express their love and support for the Peng family on social media. Arhancet took to Twitter to assure everyone that he and the rest of Liquid would stand by Doublelift during this difficult time.

Others, including Doublelift’s current and former teammates, coaches, and game publisher Riot Games, also showed their support for him. Despite the tragedy, Doublelift has made the decision to play in the NA LCS finals as a way of giving back to his supporters.
