Doublelift hospitalized due to internal bleeding

League of Legends Star Doublelift Hospitalized for Internal Bleeding

Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, a legendary player in the world of League of Legends, was admitted to the hospital last night, July 22, due to internal bleeding. This news was shared through a series of posts by Doublelift himself and his partner, Leena Xu.

On Doublelift’s Twitter page, he posted images of himself in a hospital gown with the caption “rough week.” In the comments section, Xu confirmed to fans that Doublelift had been dealing with internal bleeding for about a week without realizing it.

Long Road Ahead for 100 Thieves in LCS Playoffs

Just a little under 48 hours ago, Doublelift and his team, 100 Thieves, finished the 2023 LCS regular season with a 7-11 record in the Summer Split. Their eighth-place finish earned them the final playoff berth. Out of all the teams in the playoffs, 100 Thieves will face the longest and most challenging path to the LCS title.

Doublelift’s Recovery and the Implications for 100 Thieves

There is no specific timetable for Doublelift’s recovery at this time. However, it is expected that 100 Thieves will provide updates on his condition before their first playoff match on Aug. 4. If Doublelift needs to take time off, it could create a difficult situation for 100 Thieves as they do not currently have another bot laner on their extended roster.

According to the Global Contract Database for professional League of Legends, Doublelift has around 12 days before he needs to return to the stage for 100 Thieves’ playoff run. This gives him ample time to recover.

Keeping an Eye Out for Updates

100 Thieves is scheduled to play their first playoff match on Aug. 4 against an opponent yet to be determined. Fans can expect updates on Doublelift’s health before this date or in the near future.
