Doublelift emerges victorious in the Rush Hour reunion, propelling Liquid to claim third place in the NA LCS

Team Liquid Dominates 100 Thieves, Inches Closer to Playoffs in NA LCS

Team Liquid showcased their potential for a comeback today by sweeping 100 Thieves, breaking the three-way tie for third place, and moving one step closer to securing a spot in the NA LCS playoffs.

The highly anticipated matchup between Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng and Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black was a one-sided competition. Liquid’s bot lane completely outperformed 100T’s, which was a stark contrast to Aphromoo’s impressive performance against Cloud9 last week.

The standout player and undeniable MVP of the match was Jeong “Impact” Eon-yeong. Impact’s impactful presence in the game was crucial for Liquid’s victory.

While Impact was already winning his lane, it was when he reached level six that he truly made an impact. He initiated a fight with Doublelift and Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung, kickstarting his team’s snowballing success. The pressure Impact exerted on all lanes prevented 100T from mounting a comeback and ultimately led to Liquid’s triumph.

In the late game, the classic and powerful combo of Baron and Banner of Command came into play. The beefed-up Hulk minion relentlessly pushed into 100T’s base, sealing the deal for Liquid.

With this victory, Liquid now holds third place on their own, pushing 100T down to fifth. If Clutch Gaming defeats OpTic in their upcoming match, they will join in another tie for third place.

Liquid is halfway through the seventh week of the split, leaving them with only five more games to secure their spot in the playoffs. If they can maintain their momentum, it’s almost certain they will secure a spot.
