Doublelift criticizes Locodoco on stream: “He lacks the ability to support his arrogance”

Team Liquid’s Doublelift Criticizes Former Teammate on Twitch

Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, the AD Carry for Team Liquid, recently went on a Twitch rant targeting his former teammate Choi “Locodoco” Yoon-seop. According to Doublelift, Locodoco may appear intelligent, but lacks the skills to support his ego. Doublelift also pointed out that Locodoco has been fired from every job he has tried to hold on to desperately.

The Twitch stream in question can be viewed here.

Background on Locodoco’s Criticism

Locodoco has been critical of Doublelift’s performance in North America’s League of Legends Championship Series. He believes that their bot lane has been carried by the Korean support player, Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in, and blames Doublelift’s sloppy play for their slow and boring playstyle.

Despite Team Liquid’s first-place standing and strong momentum, Locodoco has not backed down from his opinion. He has been vocal about it on his YouTube series “Listen Loco,” where he is joined by esports historian Duncan “Thorin” Shields, who shares his view that Doublelift has not been performing up to his usual high standard.

Doublelift’s Response and History with Locodoco

Doublelift did not take Locodoco’s criticism lightly and responded with harsh words on his Twitch stream. The two were once teammates on CLG, but their relationship soured after playing together in 2012. Locodoco was originally promised a different position on CLG, but was assigned the support role instead. In rebellion, he played Irelia in solo queue, which angered Doublelift and led to their falling out.

Upcoming Match for Team Liquid

Today, Team Liquid will be facing off against CLG, and Doublelift will be aiming to secure his 11th win of the 2019 LCS Spring Split.
