Doran guides KT Rolster to speedy victory against Hanwha Life Esports in week 7 of 2021 LCK Summer Split.

KT Rolster Sweeps Hanwha Life Esports in 2-0 Series, Boosts Playoff Hopes

KT Rolster has significantly increased their chances of securing a playoff spot after their dominating 2-0 victory over Hanwha Life Esports in the seventh week of the 2021 LCK Summer Split.

In the series, KT’s top laner Doran emerged as the standout player, delivering exceptional performances on two different champions and securing both MVP votes. In the first game, playing as Lee Sin against Camille, Doran maintained control over the top lane by obtaining early kills and forcing Flashes from his opponents with the help of his ultimate ability. His aggressive plays throughout the match resulted in an impressive KDA of 7/2/6, giving KT a substantial lead.

In the second game, Doran chose Renekton as his champion against Lee Sin, showcasing his prowess in taking on aggressive opponents. He dominated his lane and played a crucial role in teamfights, leading his team to a resounding series victory. Another noteworthy performance in this match was delivered by KT’s recently promoted AD carry Park “5kid” Jeong-hyeon, although he did not play a decisive role in his team’s win.

The victory against Hanwha Life Esports has propelled KT to eighth place in the LCK standings with a record of 5-8. While their chances of making the playoffs remain slim, they still have a chance to overtake Afreeca Freecs if they continue their strong performances. KT’s upcoming matches are against DWG KIA and Gen.G next week, where they will look to solidify their playoff aspirations.

Impressive Performance by Doran Secures KT’s Victory

In the first game of the series, Hanwha Life Esports secured early kills across the map, thanks to Chovy’s aggressive play as Irelia. They appeared to be in control until Doran started accumulating kills on Lee Sin in the top lane. Once he gained an advantage, Doran started roaming and actively seeking kills whenever his ultimate was available. He became an unstoppable force after several successful takedowns, single-handedly dominating the game.

In the second game, Hanwha Life Esports denied Doran the opportunity to play Lee Sin by picking it early in the draft phase. Undeterred, Doran selected Renekton instead and continued his dominance in the top lane. His constant pressure and attention-grabbing play allowed the rest of his team to gain an advantage across the map. With a strong frontline and a fed backline, KT convincingly closed out the series, boosting their chances of reaching the playoffs.

KT’s Road to the Playoffs

Following their triumph over Hanwha Life Esports, KT now sits in eighth place in the LCK standings. While their path to the playoffs may seem difficult, they have a chance to surpass Afreeca Freecs if they maintain their strong performances. In the upcoming week, KT will face tough challenges against DWG KIA and Gen.G as they strive to secure their spot in the postseason.
