Dominant Summer Split Sweeps LEC’s All-Pro First Team

G2 Esports Dominates LEC Summer Split and Claims All-Pro Honors

G2 Esports’ League of Legends team has once again asserted their dominance in the 2023 LEC Summer Split. The team’s outstanding performance has led them to sweep the competition and secure all the spots in the region’s All-Pro first team.

The All-Pro first team is comprised entirely of samurai players, including Sergen “BrokenBlade” Çelik, Rasmus “Caps” Winther, Steven “Hans Sama” Liv, Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle, and rookie jungler Martin “Yike” Sundelin. Each of these players has excelled in their respective roles throughout the split.

It’s worth noting that only one loss was suffered by G2 Esports during the regular season, and they went undefeated in the group stage. Their journey to yet another championship has been relatively smooth. While four of the G2 Esports roster are seasoned superstars who have previously received All-Pro honors, the standout performance came from rookie jungler, Yike, who made his debut this year.

Yike’s addition to the team came after a somewhat challenging year for G2 Esports, alongside the task of filling the shoes of one of Europe’s greatest junglers. Despite the pressure, Yike has embraced the expectations and found his perfect role within the team, serving as the go-to engage initiator for his teammates.

Yike has been instrumental in activating G2 Esports’ side lanes and finding optimal angles for teamfights using champions like Maokai, Ivern, Sejuani, and Rell. Alongside Yike, the trio of Hans Sama, Broken Blade, and Caps has showcased remarkable consistency as the team’s carrying force. Their individual skills combined with their ability to perform cohesively have elevated G2 Esports to new heights.

Looking ahead, G2 Esports will now focus on the season finals as they compete for a spot in the 2023 World Championship. Their first-round opponent will be Team BDS, but G2 Esports are considered the favorites to win the entire event.

Don’t miss the thrilling action of the 2023 LEC season finals, starting on Saturday, August 19. Watch these superstars in action as they vie for victory.
