Dignitas’ Santorin maintains optimism for 2023 LCS Summer Split: ‘I have a strong desire to reaffirm my position as one of the top jungle players in the league’

Santorin’s Optimism Shines Through Despite Dignitas’ Struggles

Santorin, a multi-time LCS finalist, expressed his frustration after a loss in his first game of the Summer Split on June 14. However, he remains optimistic about Dignitas’ performance for the rest of the split.

“I’ve been really, really motivated, and just having a fresh start was something I was looking forward to,” Santorin said. “That’s why I’m pretty upset right now, it was pretty much a stomp. You’ve just gotta learn your lessons and move on.”

Santorin joined Dignitas after spending time with FlyQuest and Team Liquid. Dignitas’ revamped roster, including LCS champion Jensen, top laner Armut, and LCS star IgNar, looked promising. However, the team struggled and finished 10th in the Spring Split.

Yet, Santorin remains optimistic about the future, despite the challenging schedule of the Summer Split. With three games per week instead of two, there is less time for practice and extra scrims. Santorin believes that each opportunity to learn needs to be valuable.

Santorin’s new Dignitas teammates, Jensen, Rich, and Diamond, have fit well into the roster. However, it will take time for the team to synergize completely. Santorin understands the importance of being realistic about their goals but remains hopeful for a successful split.

Santorin wants to prove himself as one of the best junglers in the league again. He feels motivated to do better and believes that Dignitas is not just a tenth-place team. He is focused on helping his teammates and meeting his own expectations as a player.

Unfortunately, Dignitas has started the split with two losses, further challenging their climb. However, Santorin’s optimism toward the future remains unwavering. The team will face Evil Geniuses later today, providing an opportunity to turn their luck around.
