Dignitas recruits new jungler Will for their Academy team

Dignitas’ LCS Academy Team Introduces New Jungler for Match Against FlyQuest Academy

Dignitas’ LCS Academy squad will have a fresh face on the jungle position for their match against FlyQuest Academy. The team has signed a new player named Will (formerly known as Projects) to replace Dardoch and make his debut today.

Akaadian’s Temporary Move to LCS Squad Opens Up Spot in Dignitas Academy

Dignitas Academy had Akaadian as their jungle player throughout the first half of the 2021 season. However, when Dardoch, the regular LCS starter, was benched after losing to Golden Guardians last week, Akaadian was called up to the LCS team. Instead of using Dardoch in the Academy roster this week, Dignitas decided to bring in a new player, Will.

Will’s contract will last until the end of the 2021 season, with a universal expiration date for all LCS contracts on November 16. Will has previous experience with Dignitas, as he played for their amateur squad, Dignitas Mirage, earlier this year.

Uncertainty Surrounds Dardoch’s Future with Dignitas

Meanwhile, Dardoch is still under contract with Dignitas until November 2022. It remains unclear if he will start for the team in the upcoming LCS matches or if Dignitas will continue to use Akaadian as their starting jungler. With this latest signing, the competition for the jungle position has become crowded, leaving room for only two players out of the trio of Dardoch, Akaadian, and Will.

Dignitas will kick off week four of the 2021 LCS Summer Split against second-place 100 Thieves on Friday, June 25.
