Dignitas elevates Akaadian to LCS roster, replaces Grig

Dignitas Benches Grig, Promotes Akaadian

The LCS Spring Split has seen Dignitas struggle with a 5-7 record. In an effort to turn things around, the organization has announced that jungler Grig will be benched, while Akaadian will take his place on the LCS roster.

Grig Moves to Dignitas Academy

In the meantime, Grig will be playing with the Dignitas Academy team this week. Akaadian, on the other hand, will join forces with Huni, Froggen, Johnsun, and Aphromoo in the upcoming matches against 100 Thieves and Golden Guardians.

Akaadian’s Background and TSM Connection

Prior to signing with Dignitas in December, Akaadian spent the previous year with TSM. During the 2019 season, both Akaadian and Grig took turns starting on TSM’s LCS roster.

Dignitas’ Rollercoaster Start to the Split

Although Dignitas began the split with three consecutive wins, their success dwindled after defeating defending champions Team Liquid in week two. Following that win, Dignitas experienced a five-match losing streak before securing their fourth win of the split.

Fortunately, Dignitas has a favorable schedule ahead. None of their remaining six opponents currently hold a winning record. Both 100 Thieves and Golden Guardians, the teams they will face this week, have the same record as Dignitas.
