DFM acknowledges potential threats made to top laner before he left team house

DetonatioN FocusMe Addresses Accusations of Threats by Haruki “tol2” Shibata

DetonatioN FocusMe (DFM) has released a statement on July 7, addressing the accusations made by their top laner Haruki “tol2” Shibata. The organization acknowledges the accusations and after conducting interviews with all parties involved, it has been confirmed that two coaches, Kazuta “Kazu” Suzuki and Kyohei “Ceros” Yoshida, made statements that could be interpreted as threats. As a result, DFM has decided to terminate the contracts of both Kazu and Ceros.

DFM has recognized the need to improve communication within the team and has expressed concern for tol2’s mental health. Although his situation has not improved sufficiently, the organization was unaware of any mental health disorder during the MSI 2023. DFM is committed to providing support for the players’ physical and mental well-being.

Regarding tol2’s claims of verbal abuse and his fine from the CEO, DFM explains that the fine of 300,000 yen was not imposed for speaking about the abuse but for breaching his contract by sharing information with a third party. The organization intends to lower the penalty.

In light of this situation, DFM plans to hold discussions with tol2, other players, LJL officials, and management. The details of these talks have not been specified in the statement.
