Riot Games Nerfs Champions in League of Legends Patch 13.13
Riot Games made some changes to several champions in League of Legends Patch 13.13, which was released on June 28. The majority of the champions received nerfs, but three powerful junglers remained unaffected. Rek’Sai, Ivern, and Kindred were all nerfed in the previous update, but their minor tweaks in Patch 13.13 didn’t impact their standings. Currently, Rek’Sai, Ivern, and Kindred are the best, second-best, and fourth-best junglers respectively, according to U.GG.
Jungle Standings Remain Unchanged
In Patch 13.12, the jungle standings were similar, with Kindred in third place. The nerfs applied in 13.13 allowed Fiddlesticks to surpass Kindred. Despite these changes, all three junglers still maintain a high win rate above 51.50 percent, with Rek’Sai reaching an impressive 53.11 percent win rate. It is uncommon for nerfed champions to have such strong win rates, but the changes made in this patch were not significant enough to impact their performance.
Tweaks Made to Ivern, Kindred, and Rek’Sai
Riot Games made adjustments to Ivern, Kindred, and Rek’Sai in Patch 13.13. Ivern’s W ability had its bonus magic damage reduced, and Daisy’s slam damage and movement speed were also decreased. Both Kindred and Rek’Sai were recognized as powerful junglers before the update, so Riot decided to lower some base stats for better early-game balancing.
Future Nerfs and Current Results
It remains to be seen if Riot Games will continue nerfing these three champions or if they are satisfied with their current state in solo queue. Based on our experience, these champions are in a fair spot and should not be considered overpowered. On the other hand, Riot also attempted to nerf struggling junglers like Lee Sin, but the desired results have not been achieved so far.
