DRX’s Deft Achieves 2,000th Kill in LCK

Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu of DRX secured his 2,000th kill in the LCK today, leading his team to a 2-1 victory against Fredit BRION.

Deft now holds the second spot on the All-Time Kill Leaderboard in the LCK, trailing behind Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, a renowned player in the League of Legends community.

A Legendary Career for Deft

Deft, one of the oldest professional players in Korea, started his journey with MVP Blue in early 2013. With his exceptional skills, he quickly rose to prominence in the LCK and established himself as one of the greatest marksmen in the league’s history. Even to this day, he continues to compete at a high level, alongside Faker.

Milestones for Faker and Deft

On February 18, T1’s mid laner Faker also reached a significant milestone, playing his 1,000th game. Deft achieved the same feat just a day before him.

International Success and Domestic Triumphs

Throughout his career, Deft has participated in multiple international tournaments and emerged victorious in numerous domestic competitions. He won the 2015 LPL Spring playoffs and the MSI 2015 tournament with EDward Gaming. In Korea, Deft secured the LCK championship titles with NaJin White Shield in Spring 2014 and KT Rolster in Summer 2018.

Deft has competed in six world championship tournaments, reaching the semifinals only in 2014 with Samsung Blue. In the other five instances, he bowed out in the quarterfinals.

What’s Next for Deft?

DRX’s Deft, at the age of 25, will return to the stage this Sunday when his team faces off against Gen.G in the 2022 LCK Spring Split.
