Deft Achieves 1,000th LCK Kill in Week 9 of the 2019 Spring Split

Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu Hits 1,000 Regular Season Kills in LCK

Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, one of the best ADCs in the world, has achieved a remarkable milestone in the LCK. He reached 1,000 regular season kills during a match against his former team, KT Rolster. Deft’s stellar performance led his current team, Kingzone DragonX, to a convincing series win with 12 kills and 20 assists over two games.

Impressive Performance by Deft

This season, Deft has demonstrated exceptional skill for Kingzone DragonX, securing a top five position for the team. He currently leads all ADCs in the region with 96 kills and boasts an impressive 75.8 percent kill participation. Additionally, Deft excels in laning, with the second-highest gold difference at 10 minutes among LCK ADCs and the third-highest average CS difference at 10 minutes.

Dominance in the ADC Position

What sets Deft apart is that he achieved this milestone after spending two years in the LPL with Edward Gaming. This further solidifies his dominance in the ADC position and his status as a star player. Only eight other players in the LCK, such as Kim “PraY” Jong-in, Kang “Ambition” Chan-yong, and Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, have reached 1,000 kills.

Challenges and Goals

Although Deft has accomplished an impressive feat, his focus lies on winning the LCK title this split. Kingzone DragonX currently sits in fourth place and faces tough competition from SANDBOX Gaming, SK Telecom T1, and the formidable Griffin superteam. Deft will need to showcase exceptional League of Legends skills to guide his team to victory.
