Day 3 of Worlds experienced 5 pauses due to technical problems

Technical Issues Plague Play-in Stage at Worlds

Today’s broadcast of the play-in stage at Worlds experienced multiple technical issues, causing five separate in-game pauses. The broadcast and technology teams worked to resolve the problems, resulting in a delay of gameplay for about an hour. In one instance, Riot had to use the Chronobreak tool to correct an issue.

Most of the pauses were due to network connectivity problems, which affected the broader infrastructure. According to Riot’s statement, these issues are not related to the fact that Worlds is being held in China. The network issues are a result of Riot’s own infrastructure.

Riot is currently investigating these issues and working on implementing solutions to prevent future disruptions during gameplay.

Audio and Hardware Issues Add to the Interruptions

In addition to the network problems, there were also audio and other hardware issues that further contributed to the pauses. One particular pause in the Hong Kong Attitude vs. 1907 Fenerbahçe game lasted a continuous 25 minutes.

It is hoped that tomorrow’s games will proceed more smoothly, as today’s broadcast was not without its challenges.
