Damwon Gaming and JDG advance to knockout stage at Worlds 2020

Damwon Gaming and JDG Advance to Quarterfinals at 2020 League of Legends World Championship

Today, Damwon Gaming and JDG secured their spots in the quarterfinals of the 2020 League of Legends World Championship by defeating PSG Talon and Rogue, respectively.

The first seed in Group B was expected to go to Damwon Gaming, but the battle for the second seed was undecided between JDG and Rogue. However, JDG emerged victorious, defeating Rogue twice and securing their place in the next stage.

The remaining matches in Group B will determine if there will be a tiebreaker between Damwon and JDG for the first seed. This is crucial as both teams aim to avoid facing other top-ranked teams, such as Top Esports from Group D, who are considered favorites to win the championship.

Rogue and PSG Talon, who were considered dark horses in one of the toughest groups, have been eliminated from Worlds 2020 in the group stage.

In Group A, G2 and Suning have already qualified for the knockout stage. The upcoming matches will determine the final four teams to join G2, Suning, Damwon, and JDG in the quarterfinals of Worlds 2020.
