Crownshot discloses absence from LEC or LCS roster in the upcoming season

Crownshot Won’t Be Competing in LEC or LCS for Spring Split 2021

After two years, former AD carry for SK Gaming, Crownshot, announced that he couldn’t find a new organization during the free agency period. This means he won’t be competing in the LEC or LCS for the upcoming 2021 Spring Split. Crownshot revealed this news after other teams unveiled their rosters for the upcoming year. One of those teams was SK, who replaced Crownshot with Jezu, former Misfits Premier ADC.

Crownshot’s Future Plans

In a recent tweet, the 22-year old marksman stated, “It seems that I will unfortunately not be playing in the LEC/LCS next split. Will keep you guys updated on what I plan to do in the future, I felt like I finally showed people this past year what I’m capable of and I’m eager to prove myself again in the future. I’ll be back.” (source)

Average Performance for Crownshot and SK Gaming

Over the past few seasons, Crownshot and SK Gaming have been hovering around as a mid-tier team in the LEC. They have been unable to break into the contender conversation and have consistently finished the regular season as a fringe playoff team, only to be quickly eliminated in the first round of the postseason.

Despite the team’s lackluster performance, Crownshot has been one of the more consistent members of SK’s roster. According to Oracle’s Elixir, he had the fourth-most kills in his role and displayed great early laning stats in the past Summer Split.

Looking to the Future

Many members of the European League of Legends scene, including EU caster Andy “Vedius” Day, agree that Crownshot has proven himself as an LEC talent. It’s unexpected to see one of the LEC’s better bottom lane talents not being able to secure a spot on a starting lineup. However, there’s a chance Crownshot will be able to showcase his skills in one of the European Regional Leagues.
