CoreJJ, the 2017 Worlds champion, becomes Team Liquid’s new support player.

Team Liquid Acquires World Champion CoreJJ as Support Player

Team Liquid has made another big move in the off-season, this time acquiring support player Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in. CoreJJ, who won the League of Legends World Championship in 2017 with LCK team Samsung Galaxy, brings his championship experience to the two-time NA LCS champions.

Building a Stacked Roster

This announcement comes on the heels of Liquid’s recent acquisition of Nicolaj Jensen from C9. With CoreJJ and Jensen joining the roster, alongside top laner Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong, Team Liquid now boasts a strong lineup featuring multiple world champions.

While CoreJJ is a newcomer to Liquid, he is no stranger to the NA LCS. Prior to his time with Samsung Galaxy, he competed for Dignitas before making the move to the LCK. With his previous experience in the NA LCS and his championship pedigree, CoreJJ is a valuable addition to the team.

Flexibility and Potential

CoreJJ’s versatility as a former bot lane carry gives Liquid the option to potentially switch him in for their superstar bot lane carry, Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng. However, this will depend on the team’s strategy and whether Doublelift remains with the roster for the upcoming season.

With these roster moves, Team Liquid is once again positioning themselves as contenders in the NA LCS. With CoreJJ’s addition, the team hopes to build on their past success and make a strong push for another championship title.
