CoreJJ takes a break from Team Liquid’s starting lineup for week 4 of 2022 LCS Spring Split, Eyla to fill in

Superstar CoreJJ temporarily steps away from Team Liquid’s starting lineup

Just a week into the 2022 LCS Spring Split, Team Liquid’s superstar support CoreJJ will be stepping away from the starting lineup for week four due to a personal matter. The team has announced that their Academy support Eyla will be taking CoreJJ’s place in the main roster for the upcoming LCS superweek.

Eyla to fill in for CoreJJ

In a recent announcement, Team Liquid LoL confirmed that Eyla will play in the LCS for week four while CoreJJ is dealing with a personal matter. However, CoreJJ is expected to return for the team’s week five matches.

Coach Guilhoto expresses confidence in Eyla

Head coach André Guilhoto voiced his confidence in Eyla and the team’s ability to secure three wins during the upcoming weekend. Eyla has been practicing with the main team this week in preparation for the matches against Golden Guardians, Dignitas, and TSM.

Eyla’s previous experience on Liquid’s main roster

Eyla has previously played on Liquid’s main roster during the 2022 LCS Lock In tournament while they awaited CoreJJ’s visa approval. The team had a successful start to the regular season with Eyla alongside Hans Sama, securing wins against Immortals, Cloud9, and FlyQuest.

Eyla’s performance in the LCS debut was notable, with a 2.5 KDA, 32 assists, a 75 percent first blood rate, and impressive warding stats. While CoreJJ’s presence added a different dynamic to Liquid’s gameplay, Eyla proved to be a formidable player.

Don’t miss Eyla’s return to the LCS as Team Liquid faces Golden Guardians on Friday, February 25.
