CoreJJ announced as the MVP of the 2020 LCS Summer Split

Team Liquid’s CoreJJ Wins 2020 LCS Summer Split MVP Award

CoreJJ, the superstar support for Team Liquid, has been awarded the MVP for the 2020 LCS Summer Split. He outperformed TSM’s Bjergsen and Cloud9’s Blaber to secure the title.

This marks CoreJJ’s second year with Liquid, having joined the team in late 2018. After winning two consecutive NA titles, the team faced challenges during the 2020 Spring Split, dealing with multiple issues.

From Broxah’s visa problems to Doublelift’s lack of motivation, the team struggled to build synergy. They constantly rotated junglers throughout the split, failing to fulfill the potential many believed they had when the roster was announced.

Consequently, Liquid finished in ninth place with just seven wins. Doublelift left the team and joined TSM while rookie AD carry Tactical took his place. Despite low expectations, Liquid managed to secure first place in this split.

Thanks to CoreJJ’s exceptional leadership and support skills, Liquid achieved a 15-3 record. His statistics remained impressive, and he consistently performed well in clutch moments. Additionally, he mentored Tactical, helping him become one of the top ADCs in the region.

Although Liquid lost to a strong FlyQuest squad in the playoffs, CoreJJ will face his former teammate Doublelift and TSM. This highly anticipated matchup between two MVP candidates, CoreJJ and Bjergsen, promises to be explosive and full of exciting moments.

Don’t miss the action on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 3pm CT when TSM and Liquid face off for the last spot in the 2020 LCS Summer Finals.
