Contract Limbo Over? Jankos Allegedly Strikes Verbal Deal with LEC Team

Potential LEC Return for Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski

According to recent reports by Brieuc Seeger and Alejandro Gomis, Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski may make a comeback to the LEC next year as Team Heretics’ new jungler. The veteran Polish player is said to have a buyout fee of around “100,000” euros.

Verbal Agreement with Team Heretics

A tweet by Alejandro Gomis mentioned that Jankos has reached a verbal agreement with Team Heretics to join them in the LEC. The team and G2 Esports have also reached a buyout agreement for the talented jungler.

Contract Discussion and Potential LCS Move

Jankos’ contract situation has sparked discussion within the League of Legends community. After G2 Esports’ disappointing performance at Worlds 2022, Jankos declared that he will not be playing for the organization next season. While there were initial organizations interested in acquiring him, many backed out due to the high buyout fee. Jankos himself expressed his consideration of joining an LCS team.

Heretics’ LEC Roster and G2’s Future Signings

As Team Heretics aims to finalize their LEC roster for the upcoming season, there have been rumors of signing Japanese top laner Evi and two European players. This will be the organization’s debut season in the European franchised league. On the other hand, G2 is reportedly signing Martin “Yike” Sundelin, Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle, and Steven “Hans Sama” Liv.

Team Heretics will make their LEC debut in January 2023.
