Confirmed: Riot’s upcoming fighting game, Project L, to host ‘in-person’ playtest from April 23 to 25

Riot’s Untitled Fighting Game Gets First Public Playtest

Riot Games recently held its first in-person playtest for its upcoming untitled fighting game, also known as Project L. The playtest took place in the greater Los Angeles area and was only open to a select few participants.

The playtest was announced through a survey that was sent out to potential participants. The survey included questions about fighting games in general and asked for availability for the in-person event. It also warned participants not to share the survey with others and to refrain from taking screenshots or captures.

After a month, Riot confirmed the dates for the playtest, which ran from April 23 to April 25. Participants received emails congratulating them on their selection.

It is unclear whether there will be future playtests available to the public, but for now, Riot is focusing on the local Los Angeles area.

Project L and Project F Missing from Riot’s 2021 Plans

In a video posted by Riot in December 2020 discussing their plans for 2021, they mentioned several games but notably omitted Project F and Project L. These two mysterious projects have been shrouded in secrecy, and it seems that Riot is facing challenges in their development.
