Riot Games and Gronoc Collaborate on New Irelia Comic
Riot Games has teamed up with South Korean comics artist Gronoc to release the latest community comic collab titled “Irelia.” This comic follows Irelia, the Blade Dancer, as she grapples with the aftermath of the war between Noxus and Ionia.
Fan-Inspired Takes on League of Legends Characters

The Dark Fate of Irelia
Part one begins with Karma speaking about Irelia’s dark fate. The comic then shifts focus to Irelia herself, engaging in a conversation with an assassin who questions the number of people she has killed.
Irelia’s Guilt and Reminiscence
In part two, Irelia is seen scrubbing one of her blades to remove the blood stains, but they keep reappearing. This symbolizes the guilt that haunts her conscience. The comic showcases Irelia’s memories of her grandmother, the person who taught her to dance and handle her blades. These memories offer insight into their relationship and how it changed after Irelia sought revenge for her father’s death.
The Reincarnation of Karma
While deeply meditating, Irelia is approached by a woman named Darha, who praises her as Ionia’s savior. Although not explicitly mentioned in the first four parts of the comic, Darha is revealed to be a reincarnation of Karma.
Seeking Solace and Leaving Irelia to Ponder
In an attempt to alleviate Irelia’s internal turmoil, Darha shares Soraka’s story and encourages the Blade Dancer to find solace in protecting others. The comic concludes with Darha leaving Irelia alone with her thoughts.
