Invictus Gaming to Receive Commemorative Figures for Championship Win
Invictus Gaming, the winners of last year’s League of Legends World Championship, will soon have their own line of collectible figures to celebrate their victory. Each of the six Worlds skins will come with its own hand-crafted figurine, which will be sold in the merch store. This is the first time a professional team has been honored with their own set of collectibles in the League of Legends world.
The line of collectibles will include a figurine for the Summoner’s Cup and an Invictus Gaming summoner’s icon. Fans will have the opportunity to own these special memorabilia as a reminder of Invictus Gaming’s remarkable achievement.
Release Date and Availability
The official release date for the collectible figures has not been announced yet. It is also uncertain whether they will be available for purchase outside of China. We eagerly await further updates regarding the availability of these unique collectibles.
The Worlds Skins
Last week, Riot Games revealed the set of World Championship skins for the Chinese team. The skins include Fiora, Irelia, Camille, LeBlanc, Kai’Sa, and Rakan. These champions were chosen by the six members of Invictus Gaming following their victory in the 2018 League of Legends World Championship. The skins were released on the League of Legends Public Beta Environment soon after their reveal.
However, the League of Legends community had a lukewarm response to the skins initially. There were claims that all the skins looked too similar, with similar facial shapes and hair colors. In response to this criticism, Riot slightly altered LeBlanc’s Worlds skin. Riot Blaustoise, a representative from Riot Games, explained that visual preferences vary across regions, and China’s preference for homogeneous features influenced the design choices for the rest of the Worlds skins.
Despite the initial feedback, the release of the collectible figures is highly anticipated by fans of Invictus Gaming and the League of Legends community.
