Cody Sun from Clutch Gaming achieves the highest KDA during Worlds 2019 play-in stage

Clutch Gaming’s Impressive Performance in Worlds 2019 Play-In Stage

The highly anticipated main event of Worlds 2019 is just a few days away, where top League of Legends teams will compete for the Summoner’s Cup. Clutch Gaming is among the teams that have made it to the main event after a successful play-in stage.

During the play-in stage, AD carry Cody Sun played a pivotal role in Clutch Gaming’s journey to Worlds. He stood out among other talented players like DAMWON Gaming’s Heo “ShowMaker” Su and Splyce’s Kasper “Kobbe” Kobberup, achieving the highest KDA of any player.

Cody Sun demonstrated exceptional performance, with only four deaths throughout eight games in the play-in stage. Additionally, he secured 42 kills, placing him in the top three alongside Kobbe and Splyce’s mid laner Marek “Humanoid” Brázda.

Challenging Road for Clutch Gaming

Clutch Gaming faced tough competition on their way to the main stage. They found themselves in a tiebreaker against the Unicorns of Love after their group ended in a three-way tie. However, Clutch Gaming emerged victorious and continued to sweep Royal Youth in the play-in knockout stage.

Group of Death – Clutch Gaming’s Mission

As Clutch Gaming enters the main event, they face an incredible challenge in Group C, alongside SK Telecom T1, Fnatic, and Royal Never Give Up. This group is widely regarded as the “Group of Death” in Worlds 2019, as it brings together three of the tournament’s strongest teams.

While the odds may not be in Clutch Gaming’s favor, upsets have occurred in the past. If Cody Sun maintains his outstanding performance and the rest of the team steps up, there is a chance that North America’s third seed could make a Cinderella run to the playoffs.
