Cloud9’s League of Legends team secures renowned bot lane duo for 2024, reports reveal

Cloud9’s League of Legends Team Prepares for the Future

Cloud9’s League of Legends team’s journey in the 2023 World Championship may have ended sooner than expected. However, they are already making plans for an exciting future.

The long-standing North American organization has reportedly extended their contract with AD carry prodigy Berserker and superstar support Vulcan, as per esports reporter Brieuc Seeger. These two formidable players will join the team’s rumored new mid laner, Jojopyun, who is said to be joining from Evil Geniuses.

These three players are highly regarded as some of the best in their respective positions in the region. Jojopyun was awarded the Most Valuable Player in the recent Summer Split, Vulcan has received six All-Pro awards, and Berserker won the MVP award in the spring. Together, they form one of the youngest and most talented cores in any LCS roster to date.

In the past year, C9 has been a dominant force in North America. They only lost nine regular season games and easily clinched the victory in the 2023 Spring Split. Despite their loss in the Summer Finals against NRG Esports, they were still one of the top teams in the region, leading them to Worlds.

However, their performance at Worlds fell short. The team struggled to gain momentum in the Swiss stage, losing three out of four games against LNG Esports, T1, and Fnatic. They managed to defeat MAD Lions, but the Spanish organization also experienced poor results in international events this year.

With the recent reports, it seems Cloud9 is gearing up for an eventful offseason. This means that other LCS organizations must prepare their own strategies to stay competitive and avoid falling behind.
