Cloud9 to replace its entire Academy roster for today’s LCS match

Cloud9 Substitutes Entire Roster for LCS Match

After a tough 2019 LCS Spring Split, Cloud9 is preparing for the playoffs. The team secured the No. 2 seed in the LCS yesterday, leading them to make a bold move: substituting their entire roster for their final game of the regular season.

Cloud9 Academy Takes the Stage

Cloud9’s Academy team will be facing off against Clutch Gaming. The lineup for this match includes top laner Ziqing “Kumo” Zhao, jungler Robert “Blaber” Huang, mid laner Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer, ADC Yuri “Keith” Jew, and support David “Diamond” Bérubé.

A Chance for Cloud9 Academy to Shine

This match presents a rare opportunity for Cloud9 Academy to test their skills against an LCS-caliber team. The team has been dominant in the North American Academy scene, winning consecutive splits in a commanding fashion.

Mixture of Rookies and Veterans

Cloud9 Academy consists of a mix of rookie and veteran players who are well-prepared for their match against Clutch. Blaber and Goldenglue have already proved themselves on the LCS stage by regularly subbing in for Cloud9 during the 2018 Summer Split.

Today’s match between Cloud9 and Clutch will start at 4pm CT.
