Cloud9 Tempest recruits Sheep

Former Team Coast Player Jamie “Sheep” Gallagher Joins Cloud9 Tempest

According to sources close to the organization, former Team Coast support player Jamie “Sheep” Gallagher will be leaving the team to join North American Challenger team Cloud9 Tempest. This move comes after the disqualification of Team Coast from the 2015 Spring Challenger Series. Sheep will be replacing former support Ritchie “Fade” Ngo, who left the team after the disqualification. Cloud9 Tempest has been without a full-time support player since then.

Gallagher’s Journey in League of Legends

Gallagher made a name for himself in the League of Legends scene when he joined XDG Gaming (formerly Vulcun) after Lyubomir “BloodWater” Spasov retired. XDG placed eighth in the regular split and had to face LMQ, a dominant Chinese-import team, in a relegation battle. XDG lost and was knocked down to the Challenger Series. Team Coast also suffered a similar fate and was knocked out of the LCS. After XDG disbanded, Gallagher joined the newly reformed Team Coast.

Roster Changes and Disappointments

Team Coast went through several roster changes in hopes of securing a spot in the LCS. They qualified for the 2015 Spring Promotion tournament but failed to qualify for the LCS after losing to Evil Geniuses. The team then merged with Challenger team Final Five for the upcoming Spring Split. However, the split did not go well for Team Coast, and they were on track for last place. Sheep’s move to Cloud9 Tempest comes after the disbanding of the Coast lineup.

Sheep Joins Cloud9 Tempest

Sheep’s move to Cloud9 Tempest is not surprising given their strong performance in the Summer Challenger Series qualifiers. They may face tough competition from Misfits and Elomingle in the qualifier. Cloud9 did not comment on the move. Sheep and Cloud9 Tempest have since confirmed the move on social media.
