Cloud9’s Bottom Lane Undergoes Major Changes
Cloud9, the North American esports organization, is set to make significant changes to its bottom lane for the upcoming year. According to ESPN, Cloud9 is finalizing the acquisition of TSM’s AD carry, Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen. This move, along with the reported $1.5 million buyout of Dignitas support, Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme, will completely revamp Cloud9’s bot lane.
Zven’s Arrival Signals the End of an Era for Cloud9
Cloud9 has had Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi as their popular ADC in the bottom lane for several years. However, with Zven joining the team, it appears that this era of Cloud9 is coming to a close.
Zven’s Time with TSM Falls Short of Expectations
Zven spent the 2018 and 2019 seasons with TSM, one of Cloud9’s strongest rivals. Unfortunately, the team didn’t meet the high expectations of their fans during this time. They failed to win any splits and also fell short of qualifying for Worlds in both seasons.
The NA Regional Finals Loss: TSM’s Most Notable Match
Zven’s last match with TSM was particularly significant. TSM had a commanding 2-0 lead against Clutch Gaming in the NA regional finals but ended up losing, which cost them a spot in the world championship tournament.
Zven’s Hopes for Success with Cloud9
Zven is now looking forward to finding better success with Cloud9, especially considering the team’s relatively poor performance at Worlds this year.
