Cloud9 reveals their academy roster in a playful introductory video

Cloud9 Announces Academy Roster in Full House-style Video

Cloud9 has revealed its roster for the academy team in a fun video inspired by the sitcom, Full House. The academy lineup includes Ziqing “League” Zhao, Raymond “Wiggily” Griffin, Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer, Yuri “Keith” Jew, and Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam. It’s unclear if a new coach will be added to the team or if Bok “Reapered” Han-gyu will lead both the academy and main roster.

Talented Players from NA LCS and CS Join Cloud9 Academy

The academy team of Cloud9 brings together players from NA LCS, NA CS, and even a newcomer known as League. Both Keith and Goldenglue played in the NA LCS last season, representing Echo Fox and Team Liquid respectively. Wiggly and Zeyzal were involved in the challenger scene throughout 2017, with Tempo Storm and Eunited.

Intriguingly, the introduction video leaves fans wondering about the status of Marcin “SELFIE” Wolski, who was announced to have joined Cloud9 a month ago. Despite the assumption that SELFIE would be the academy team’s mid laner, Goldenglue’s appearance suggests that SELFIE may be heading elsewhere.

Cloud9 Completes Academy Roster, Other Teams Yet to Announce

Cloud9 becomes the fifth NA LCS organization to finalize its academy roster. This follows TSM’s recent announcement of their secondary squad. Still, Team Liquid, Clutch Gaming, OpTic Gaming, 100 Thieves, and Golden Guardians have yet to disclose any details about their academy teams.

Awaiting Details on the Format of NA LCS Academy Competition

As the NA LCS prepares for its start on Jan. 20, Riot Games has not yet provided information about how the academy teams will compete.
