Cloud9 and FlyQuest dominate in NA LCS season openers

Cloud9 and FlyQuest Dominate NA LCS Opening Weekend

In the first weekend of the 2017 NA LCS season, Cloud9 and FlyQuest emerged as the top teams.

Cloud9 started off strong by defeating TSM convincingly on the opening day. They went on to secure a second win against Team Dignitas on day three.

This match against Team Dignitas was a close one, impressing fans who were uncertain about the new Dignitas lineup. Cloud9 ultimately emerged victorious with a 2-1 score, with Dignitas winning game two in just 33 minutes. This could potentially be a match-up to watch in the post-season.

FlyQuest Makes Impressive Debut

FlyQuest, formerly known as Cloud9’s sister team, made waves in their debut with two strong wins. After defeating EnVyUs on day two, they faced the experienced Team Liquid, a team that has made four consecutive playoffs.

Although Team Liquid dominated game one, FlyQuest showed great resilience. After leveling the series, FlyQuest took the third game in a fast-paced 25 minutes. In the final two games, they limited Team Liquid to only six kills in each.

TSM and Counter Logic Gaming Secure Important Victories

TSM bounced back from their loss to Cloud9 with an exciting win against Immortals. After two intense games lasting over 50 minutes each, with both teams accumulating over 90,000 gold, the series was tied 1-1. TSM then demonstrated a more dominant performance in game three, securing a victory in under 40 minutes.

Counter Logic Gaming also started their 2017 season on a positive note, defeating EnVyUs 2-0. Unfortunately, EnVyUs is now struggling at the bottom of the standings alongside Echo Fox, who were unsuccessful in matches against both Pheonix1 and Immortals.
