CJ Entus releases nine League players from its roster

A Former League of Legends Dynasty: Korean Organization CJ Entus Releases Nine Players

Korean organization CJ Entus has released nine of its twelve players, signaling the end of a once-dominant era in League of Legends.

This news comes three weeks after CJ Entus made changes to its roster following its relegation from League Champions Korea on August 27. The future of the organization remains uncertain in light of these recent developments.

Among the players who officially left the team are mid laner Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong, legendary support player Mingi “MadLife” Hong, and top laner Park “Shy” Sang-myeon. Only Seo “Soul” Hyeon-seok, Lee “Reach” Joo-won, and Park “SungHo” Sung-ho remain on the team.

Despite its previous success as a premier League organization in Korea, CJ Entus has struggled in recent years. Riot Games’ decision in late 2014 to prohibit organizations from having two rosters simultaneously significantly impacted CJ Entus, and the team failed to impress despite retaining much of its original talent.

All of the departing players are now free agents, creating opportunities for other teams to acquire experienced talent leading up to the 2017 season.
