Cheat Sheet: All You Need to Know about Teamfight Tactics Items

Riot has released their autobattler game, Teamfight Tactics, and if you’re new to the genre or just need help understanding how the items work, we’ve got you covered. This cheat sheet will give you a better understanding of each item and how they synergize with each other.

B.F. Sword (+20 Attack Damage)
– Build into:
– Deathblade: Gain Damage for the remainder of combat whenever the wearer kills or participates in killing an enemy.
– Giant Slayer: Deal an additional 5% of the target’s Maximum Health as true damage.
– Hextech Gunblade: Heal 25% of damage dealt.
– Spear of Shojin: Recover 15% of remaining maximum Mana per attack after casting an ability.
– Guardian Angel: Revive with 500 HP.
– The Bloodthirster: 35% Lifesteal.
– Zeke’s Herald: Allies around you gain 10% Attack speed.
– Infinity Edge: Gain +150% Critical Strike Damage.
– Youmuu’s Ghostblade: You are an Assassin.

Recurve Bow (+20% Attack Speed)
– Build into:
– Giant Slayer: Deal an additional 5% of the target’s Maximum Health as true damage.
– Rapid Firecannon: Double your attack range. Attacks cannot miss.
– Guinsoo’s Rageblade: Gain 5% stacking Attack Speed on hit (stacks infinitely).
– Stattik Shiv: Every third attack splashes 100 magic damage.
– Phantom Dancer: Dodge all crits.
– Cursed Blade: Chance to shrink on hit: removes 1 star.
– Titanic Hydra: Attacks deal 10% of the wearer’s maximum HP as bonus splash damage.
– Repeating Crossbow: When the wearer dies, it is re-equipped to a new ally, granting additional Attack Speed and Critical Strike Chance for the remainder of combat.
– Blade of the Ruined King: You are a Blademaster.

Chain Vest (+20 Armor)
– Build into:
– Guardian Angel: Revive with 500 HP.
– Phantom Dancer: Dodge all crits.
– Locket of the Iron Solari: Shield units around you for 200 Health on combat start.
– Frozen Heart: Adjacent enemies attack 20% slower.
– Thornmail: Reflect 35% of attack damage taken.
– Sword Breaker: Attacks have a chance to disarm.
– Red Buff: Attacks burn for 2.5% max Health. Burned units cannot heal.
– Iceborn Gauntlet: When the wearer dodges, they create a zone of ice that reduces enemy Attack Speed by 35%.
– Knight’s Vow: You are a Knight.

Negatron Cloak (+20 Magic Resist)
– Build into:
– The Bloodthirster: 35% Lifesteal.
– Cursed Blade: Chance to shrink on hit: removes 1 star.
– Ionic Spark: Zap enemies for 200 damage whenever they cast a spell.
– Hush: High chance to silence on hit.
– Sword Breaker: Attacks have a chance to disarm.
– Dragon’s Claw: 83% resistance to magic damage.
– Zephyr: Banish an enemy for 5 seconds at the start of combat.
– Quicksilver: Gain a shield that prevents the next crowd control effect from applying.
– Runaan’s Hurricane: Attack 2 extra targets on attack. Extra attacks deal 50% damage.

Needlessly Large Rod (+20% Spell Damage)
– Build into:
– Hextech Gunblade: Heal 25% of damage dealt.
– Guinsoo’s Rageblade: Gain stacking Attack Speed on hit.
– Rabadon’s Deathcap: +50% Ability Power.
– Luden’s Echo: On spell hit, deal 200 splash damage.
– Locket of the Iron Solari: Shield units around you for 200 Health on combat start.
– Ionic Spark: Zap enemies for 200 damage whenever they cast a spell.
– Morellonomicon: Spells deal burn damage and prevent healing.
– Jeweled Gauntlet: The wearer’s spells can critically strike.
– Yuumi: You are a Sorcerer.

Tear of the Goddess (+20 Starting Mana)
– Build into:
– Spear of Shojin: Recover 15% of remaining maximum Mana per attack after casting an ability.
– Stattik Shiv: Every third attack splashes 100 magic damage.
– Luden’s Echo: On spell hit, deal 200 splash damage.
– Seraph’s Embrace: Regain 20 mana after each spell cast.
– Frozen Heart: Adjacent enemies attack 20% slower.
– Hush: High chance to silence on hit.
– Redemption: Heal nearby allies for 1000 Health on death.
– Hand of Justice: Gain +40 damage to basic attacks and spells or heal 40 Health on-hit at the beginning of each planning phase.
– Darkin: You are a Demon.

Giant’s Belt (+200 Health)
– Build into:
– Zeke’s Herald: Allies around you on combat gain 10% Attack speed.
– Titanic Hydra: Attacks deal 10% of the wearer’s maximum HP as bonus splash damage.
– Morellonomicon: Spells deal burn damage and prevent healing.
– Redemption: Heal nearby allies for 1000 Health on death.
– Red Buff: Attacks burn for 2.5% max Health. Burned units cannot heal.
– Zephyr: Banish an enemy for 5 seconds at the start of combat.
– Warmog’s Armor: Regenerate 3% health per second.
– Trap Claw: Gain a shield that blocks the first enemy spell that hits you. The enemy that breaks the shield is stunned for 5 seconds.
– Frozen Mallet: You are Glacial.

Sparring Gloves (+10% Critical Strike Chance, +10% Dodge Chance)
– Build into:
– Infinity Edge: Gain +150% Critical Strike Damage.
– Repeating Crossbow: Re-equips to a new ally upon wearer’s death, granting additional Attack Speed and Critical Strike Chance for the remainder of combat.
– Jeweled Gauntlet: The wearer’s spells can critically strike.
– Hand of Justice: Gain +40 damage to basic attacks and spells or heal 40 Health on-hit at the beginning of each planning phase.
– Iceborn Gauntlet: When the wearer dodges, they create a zone of ice that reduces enemy Attack Speed by 35%.
– Quicksilver: Gain a shield that prevents the next crowd control effect from applying.
– Trap Claw: Gain a shield that blocks the first enemy spell that hits you. The enemy that breaks the shield is stunned for 5 seconds.
– Thief’s Gloves: Equips two temporary items at the beginning of each planning phase, with the items increasing in power based on player level.
– Mittens: You are a Yordle.

Spatula (Builds into various items that grant special abilities)
– Youmuu’s Ghostblade: You are an Assassin.
– Blade of the Ruined King: You are a Blademaster.
– Yuumi: You are a Sorcerer.
– Darkin: You are a Demon.
– Knight’s Vow: You are a Knight.
