Champions like Aphelios, Lee Sin, Corki, and others set to receive buffs in League Patch 10.21

Riot Reveals Buffs for Champions in League Patch 10.21

As the ranked season comes to a close, Riot lead gameplay designer Mark Yetter has shared some of the buffs planned for multiple champions in League Patch 10.21.

Aphelios, one of the lowest performing bot laners in terms of win rate, is set to receive another buff. Lee Sin and Trundle, former meta junglers, will also be buffed as they have slightly fallen out of professional play. Corki, Karma, and Udyr are the other champions getting buffs in Patch 10.21.

Aphelios and Corki’s Performance

Aphelios received a buff in Worlds Patch 10.19 along with other bot lane marksmen, but it hasn’t affected his play rate or win rate. He has only been picked once at Worlds and holds a 46 percent win rate in platinum and above, according to League of Graphs. Similarly, Corki, once a common pick into Azir, has fallen out of the mid lane meta.

The Impact on Lee Sin

Lee Sin, known as one of the most difficult junglers in the game, has seen consistent play at the professional level. Despite a minor nerf earlier this year, he has adapted his build to support a tankier style, which has been successful in professional play.

Patch 10.21 will be released on Oct. 14 and will not affect the ongoing World Championships, which are played on Patch 10.19.
