Champions Aphelios, Vayne, Irelia, and Sivir poised for buffs in League of Legends Worlds Patch 10.19

Riot Games Plans to Buff Underused ADCs in Upcoming League of Legends Patch

Riot Games is gearing up to make changes to the bot lane in the next patch of League of Legends, with a focus on buffing some underused ADCs.

In a recent Twitter post, League lead gameplay designer Mark “Scruffy” Yetter previewed the tentative changes for the upcoming Worlds patch, 10.19. Among the champions set to receive buffs are Aphelios, Vayne, and Sivir.

After a series of nerfs, Aphelios is finally getting some much-needed attention. The 200 years marksman has struggled in competitive play and solo queue lately, with a declining presence in pro play compared to meta champions like Caitlyn and Ashe.

However, Riot will approach Aphelios’ buffs with caution, considering the delicacy of his kit. While he has the potential to sway games, his reliance on items to reach his power spikes makes him vulnerable. Riot may focus on improving his early-game presence to align with other bot lane champions, but this is only speculation.

Vayne, a champion known for her appearances in the bot lane at Worlds, may make a comeback thanks to these buffs. Although she is often flexed as a counter pick in the draft, she could see more play in the bot lane with these changes.

Sivir is another champion on Riot’s radar. While she is expected to receive buffs, they may not be significant enough to make her a popular choice in most team compositions.

Riot is also planning buffs for Irelia, Ahri, Sylas, Ivern, and Udyr Phoenix, but further details about these changes will be available on Tuesday, September 8.
