Champion Nerfs in the Works for LoL Patch 13.12: Gragas, Rell, K’Sante and Others

League of Legends Patch 13.12: Nerfs Galore for Champions and Items

The latest notes for League of Legends Patch 13.12 reveal a slew of nerfs to champions, items, and systems that have been dominating the meta. Riot Games developers Phoroxon and Phlox have identified nine champions, five items, and two systems as too strong and are implementing adjustments to bring them back in line.

Rell, who received a mid-scope update in Patch 13.11, was deemed too powerful and will undergo adjustments in her support and jungle roles.

Gragas, a versatile champion, has been growing in strength in both the jungle and top lane. Despite not receiving significant adjustments since February 2023, Gragas was among the top 10 most contested champions at the recent MSI 2023 tournament in London.

The list of champions slated for nerfs also includes Kha’Zix, Kog’Maw, Lulu, Milio, Yuumi, and Zeri, all of whom have been strong picks in League at various ranks for a considerable period of time.

K’Sante, who has enjoyed a 50 percent win rate at lower ranks, will finally receive some long-awaited nerfs.

On the item front, Ardent Censer, Bloodthirster, Galeforce, Imperial Mandate, and Rapid Firecannon will all receive nerfs, along with a potential reduction in values for the Precision rune Overheal.

Junglers will be intrigued by the first nerf to Crest of Cinders (Red Buff) since Season Eight in April 2018. The details of the nerf have yet to be confirmed.

All these changes are expected to go live on June 14.
