Carzzy’s 19 kills in a single game surpass the previous record set over eight years ago by Fnatic’s Martin “Rekkles” Larsson, who had 18 kills during the 2014 Summer Split.

Despite Rekkles’ reputation as a dominant AD carry in 2014, he and his team couldn’t match the cohesion and relentless pressure exerted by MAD Lions. In a last-second hold at the nexus, victory was snatched away from Fnatic.

Carzzy, on the other hand, showcased his skill as the focal point of MAD Lions’ late-game efforts. With Jinx’s hyper-scaling power and her Get Excited passive, he showcased impeccable positioning and aggression, despite a few moments where he was caught out by Wukong or Ahri.

Carzzy’s outstanding performance earned him the Player of the Series honors. He and the rest of MAD Lions will now face Astralis for the final spot in the postseason. To have a shot at the LEC championship later this month, Carzzy will need to maintain this high level of play.
