Canyon’s Phenomenal Lee Sin Performance Eliminates BDS from Worlds 2023

Dplus KIA eliminates Team BDS from the League of Legends World Championship

Dplus KIA secured a decisive victory over Team BDS, eliminating them from the 2023 League of Legends World Championship. The Korean team dominated their European opponents and showcased their skill in a best-of-three elimination series on Oct. 23.

In the first game, BDS opted for an aggressive draft strategy, selecting champions like Volibear, Lee Sin, and Blitzcrank. However, Dplus KIA quickly read their opponents’ game plan and effectively countered them. Led by Canyon, Dplus KIA took control of the game and secured their first win in less than 26 minutes.

In the second game, Canyon once again proved his prowess on Lee Sin, securing two early kills and completely shutting down Sheo in the jungle. With a strong early advantage, Dplus KIA snowballed their lead and emerged victorious in just 24 minutes with a total of eight kills.

Following their triumph, Dplus KIA advanced to the 1-2 bracket, while Team BDS joined Liquid in exiting the tournament. Liquid, representing North America, were also eliminated on Oct. 23 by GAM Esports.

Upcoming Matches in the Worlds 2023 Swiss Stage

The Worlds 2023 Swiss stage will continue on Oct. 26 with the fourth round of the competition.
